RefWorks Instructions
RefWorks Instructions for American Men & Women of Science: A Biographical Directory of Today's Leaders in Physical, Biological, and Related Sciences
Single records:
- Mark the item you want to export.
- Click on Citation tools in the Tools box.
- Choose the citation style you wish to use.
- Choose RefWorks in the Export to third party software option.
- Click Export.
- If RefWorks doesn’t automatically open, click on the RefWorks link in the popup window.
- Login to RefWorks. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
- PLEASE NOTE: You may need to change the Source Type of your RefWorks record from Print to Electronic for resources you access in fulltext online through a Gale database.
Multiple records:
- Mark the items you want to export.

- Click on Citation tools in the Tools box.
- Choose the citation style you wish to use.
- Choose RefWorks in the Export to third party software option.
- Click Export.
- If RefWorks doesn’t automatically open, click on the RefWorks link in the popup window.
- Login to RefWorks. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
